For those customers sending waste to a local composter, compostable products are available. These products meet ASTM D6400 standard to fully degrade in less than 180 days in an industrial composting facility. For those customers who do not have access to a local composter, Pak-Sher offers several other options: Direct and Indirect food contact products manufactured in Kilgore, TX be can be manufactured with 30% Post-Consumer Recycled content (PCR). Many of our carryout bags can be manufactured at 3 mil strength to meet reusable requirements in many municipalities. Fragmentable additive which, under certain conditions, can accelerate degradation, is available for most products. Pak-Sher remains extremely concerned about, and ever-conscious of, our effect on the environment. All non-compostable products are recyclable. Even when manufacturing our core polyethylene product line, we recover 100% of our process waste, reusing most in our own operation and providing the rest to third parties for use in their facilities.
